Well that was as comfortable and fruitful as a weekend can be. Artists are already networking post-class and hopefully will return to Sonoma/Petaluma for follow-up painting as their schedules permit. Doors are open.
Though it looks like artists were focused and serious, we really did have fun.
Here, some pictures, more to follow:
woo...looks like lots of fun, Hylla.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun (amazing group/talents), And... As a participant, I came away not only with a whole new world of ways to present incaustic works (on paper), but revived towards Traditional methods as well. Where I was feeling stuck, I'm now armed withOUT so many limits on working with wax, including presentation options. Does anyone out there realize what a fabulous cook Hylla is?? I would've gone for the food, people & setting at Green String Farm, alone! Who knew the local wines could add color and inspirations as well?! It was an absolutely stellar adventure. Kudos to Hylla and Marci! and lots of Praise for my new Encaustic Others. I'll be back : ) and I hope to remain connected for many art-years ahead.

Looks beautiful and rustic. Just my kind of vibe. Wish I could have been there.
